At StoreHub, your business deserves seamless transactions and optimal performance. To uphold this commitment, we’re discontinuing support for older hardware that no longer meets our performance and security standards. This page will be regularly updated to ensure your devices stay current.
What is Hardware Retirement?
Hardware retirement is the process of discontinuing the use and support of specific hardware, typically because it has reached the end of its useful lifespan or has become obsolete.
Why are we retiring hardware?
We’re doing this to maintain security, optimal performance, minimise disruptions, and ensure the best experience with our system. Continuing to use unsupported units can lead to slowdowns, errors, and disruptions to your business operations.
Why does this matter directly to YOU?
- Avoid Performance Issues: Unsupported units can lead to slowdowns, errors, and disruptions to your business operations.
- Refer to our Product Lifetime Policy for more details.
- Maintain Business Continuity: Our new hardware is designed for optimal reliability, ensuring your daily operations run smoothly.
- Check Your Warranty: If your hardware is still under warranty, please refer to our StoreHub Hardware Warranty Policy for details on
coverage and next steps.

What You Need To Do:
- Check Your Hardware: Compare the models you are currently using against the list above.
- Contact Us Immediately: If you are using any of the listed hardware, it is critical that you contact our Customer Care Support Team.
- Plan for Replacement: Our team will guide you on secure, supported replacement hardware options that ensure your continued seamless operation and security.
- Important Cut-off: Please be advised that after the [Final Hard Cut-off Date is based on the status column], these unsupported hardware models may no longer be able to connect to our systems or process transactions. This is due to evolving security standards and system compatibility requirements that unsupported devices cannot meet.
We understand that transitioning hardware requires planning, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Replacing these devices now will protect your business from potential security breaches and ensure uninterrupted service.
1. My device is old but still works. Why upgrade?
It might work, but it’s a huge risk. No security updates mean it’s open to hacks and fraud, which could seriously hurt your business and customer trust. Plus, it could break down anytime with no way to fix it.
2. What happens if I don’t replace my hardware?
Expect significant security risks, data breaches, and system problems (failures or lags). After the End of Service Date, StoreHub will no longer support updating the firmware and apps provide any updates or support for your device’s firmware or apps, leaving your system unprotected.
3. How do I get new hardware?
You can buy new, supported devices directly on our StoreHub Merchandise Page, or contact Customer Care for personalised help.
4. What about my data on the old device?
Before you switch, make sure to securely wipe all data from your old hardware to protect sensitive information. Your new device will be set up to integrate with your existing StoreHub data.
5. What should I do with my old device after I upgrade?
Please don’t just throw it away. Securely erase all data, then find an e-waste recycling center to dispose of it responsibly.
Next Steps: Upgrade Now for a Seamless Future!
