Update Your Social Media Profiles
This goes without saying, but the importance of this cannot be stressed enough.
Updating your social media profiles is literally the difference between making 0 sales and suddenly making sales every day, consistently.
Providing relevant information to your viewers or directing your traffic to the right link i.e. your website for them to make a purchase, will drastically improve your online conversions.
You can click here for a step-by-step tutorial where we teach you how to set up your social media profiles.

Post High-Quality Content Frequently
There is a common belief that the best way to grow your online business is to post as much as you can everyday.
But this is both tiring and NOT sustainable. Especially if you’re a small business and you just don’t have the time or you can’t dedicate someone to do it full time.
The good news is that you don’t have to take such drastic measures to improve your online presence.
However, you still have to post frequently and consistently, but the key is that your posts are quality content.
Post as often as you can produce good quality content, and you can have the peace of mind that it doesn’t have to be everyday (woohoo!).
You have to find the balance between frequency and quality content for your business, because it won’t be the same for everyone.
Neil Patel, a successful digital marketing entrepreneur puts it nicely:
“If you post too infrequently, your audience will forget that you exist and you will quickly fade into the deep dark recesses of their minds. However, if you are posting too often, you will become a complete nuisance and they will dread seeing your posts overcrowding their feed.”
And if you’re a routine-oriented person and you want to know exactly how often you should post, here’s a blog post from Louise Myers that breaks down how to do it for each social media platform. Read it here.
And if you want to learn to create high-quality content, you can refer to here, where we guide you step-by-step on how to curate your own quality content for your posts, whether you’re on desktop or mobile.

Hop On Board Marketing Campaigns & Run Ads
Hop on board Marketing Campaigns
A fantastic way to boost your online business is to leverage events that happen around you.
You’ve probably seen it time and time again from some of your favourite brands, when they release a Chinese New Year or Hari Raya themed advert.
That’s because it’s one of the best ways to remain on top of the consumer's mind and stay relevant. There’s nothing better than running a well-timed advert because it never really feels like an ad, unless you make it too obvious.
A common theme that has surfaced over the past few weeks has been campaigns revolving around helping frontliners and struggling businesses amidst the COVID-19 crisis.
And this is the perfect opportunity for you to do the same.
We here at StoreHub have been doing our part by helping run campaigns to help our local aunties & uncles hawker stalls who don’t know how to use technology.
We’ve also been running a #FeedTheFrontliners campaign to aid those in the frontlines who are battling this pandemic for us.
If you’d like to join the cause or just find out more, click here.
Run Ads
This is by far the easiest way to raise awareness for your business online. If you want more customers and sales, just run ads.
And if you don’t believe me, here are 7 benefits of effective advertisements for your business. Read it here.
But there’s a catch...
Learning how to do this effectively and profitably is a different story, because not all of us have endless amounts of allocated marketing budgets.
We’ve covered how-to run ads in a separate blog that you can read here.

Conclusion
Although this will add to your endless list of tasks to do as a business owner, I promise you that it’ll be worth your time.
If you implement these 3 fundamental steps I’ve highlighted successfully into your digital marketing plan, you’ll be putting yourself in a great position to run an effective business online. I wish you the best of luck.
To your success!
